I finally slept so well last night on the soft bed. So happy. We woke around 530 to pack up. Doug was taking us back to the trail at 630. They have done so much for us already! And this morning he woke up super early to take us. We are so thankful. We said our goodbyes to Lori and thanked her for being our trail mom. I am so sad to leave them now but happy I finally got to see their home in Medford. The morning was cool and felt good but the sun was coming up quick. We stopped by the callahans to go potty. It seems like such a cool place. Will need to check out someday. Doug dropped us off where we hitched from and we gave him hugs. Then we were on our way. We had such a good time w the hansons. So much quality time spent and we felt like their own kids.
Most of the elevation was not bad at all but my pack was super heavy and the weight was putting a lot of pressure on my feet and made it hurt. I had to stop several times before lunch. A southbounder named rob passed us and I knew him from a very long time ago. I shot his wedding back in 2009 and hadn't seen him and his wife since. And now we're both on the pct seven years later! How crazy. We got to talk about each other's section so far and stuff so that was cool.
The rest of the day was just hot and not very many views. I didn't pack enough water for this relatively dry section so that's always sad. Gb gave me what he could spare and I had to ration. We got to our campsite semi lateish and I had the best dinner. I am so happy we got to resupply at tjs. I am looking forward to all my food this round.
