Wow. So crazy. Two back to back marathon days. What is my life turning into?! The first part of our day was super productive and and awesome. We walked all the way down down to the river for a late lunch. We did 17 miles before lunch! Amazing. We bathed and did some laundry in the river and took a longer lunch than usual. It's ok though. I'm finally starting to get my appetite back. Yay.
After lunch, it was a long climb up. I started changing my breathing again and I was able to keep going without taking breaks. I forgot I did this in the sierras and it helped a lot. It made me feel so strong! It's not that I've been out of shape this whole time...I've been just breathing wrong. Nothing else was super eventful today. Just walked a lot. It's basically what everyday is like these days. Just hustle to get in our daily mileage.
I feel a lot better about things though. Hopefully my period is over soon and all these emotions can become numb jk. I texted some thru hiking friends what I've been feeling and it was encouraging to hear from them. It's nice to have people who know what it's like out here. I finally got to camp super happy and not completely exhausted. I kinda like hiking till 7 these days bc I sleep better throughout the night bc I'm so tired. I usually fall asleep typing my blog but I'm not that sleepy right now. A few others came into camp too and now this one guy is snoring. I haven't camped with a snoring neighbor in SO long. Man. I forget how annoying snorers are. A game did a quick back tick check on me. We've been walking through lots of overgrown brush. It's really annoying. I hope I don't get a tick. It's also hard when you don't have a tick check buddy.
